All our walks, social events, and weekends away are led by dedicated members of our group. The group is overseen by a committee that values comments and suggestions from members.

Enjoying the Outdoors

We love finding new places and sharing the places we know with others, we will welcome you on any walk; just choose one suitable for you. We look forward to meeting you on a walk soon! You are free to sample three different events as a non-member before you decide to join us as a member. As a member, you agree to the Ramblers code of conduct.

Your Safety and Enjoyment Matters

We want you to have fun and enjoy walks in the countryside with the group. If you ever encounter a negative experience, witness strange behaviour, or receive unwanted contact, please don't hesitate to reach out to a committee member.

How we are run

The group is run by a Committee of volunteers elected by members of the group at our AGM meeting, or our Active Gathering of Members as we fondly call it in October or November each year.

Help Out

If you would like to lead a walk for us and have not led before, you can buddy up with a more experienced leader. For more details see lead a walk for how to get involved.

Chair
Beth
Beth leads the committee and provides direction to the group as part of the national Ramblers network and keeping the group running smoothly. My favourite local walk is probably the section of The Ridgeway between Ivinghoe Beacon and Wendover. A lovely mix of hills, open fields, glorious views and mysterious woodland. My favourite non-Chilterns Walk has to be Moel Eilio in Eryri, it's a fab horseshoe route that gives you an incredible view of Yr Wyddfa, including all the people heading up it whereas Moel Eilio is usually pretty quiet.

Membership
Paul
Paul is the first point of contact for new members and keeps an eye on who is a member of the Ramblers. Contact him for any Ramblers membership queries. My favourite local walk in the Chilterns is between Princes Risborough and Coombe Hill, via Whiteleaf Hill and Beacon Hill. Great scenery, big views and plenty of hills with almost a mountain's worth of total ascent.
