Upcoming Weekends Away

Weekends away are a great opportunity to get to know other members of the group as well as to enjoy some beautiful scenery outside our regular walking range within the Chiltern hills and Thames valley. We organise several weekends each year so check for regular updates.

Most weekends away are accessible to anyone who is comfortable walking in the Chilterns, but in more exposed terrain more experience and equipment may be needed. Good waterproofs, an extra warm layer or two and stout boots are always important but become essential in these areas. If in doubt contact the leader listed below, and please heed their advice.

Past weekends away have included: Keswick and the Lake District, the Malvern Hills and Exmoor.

Please be aware that due to insurance rules you must be a member of the Ramblers to join us on our weekends away as non-members will not be covered by public liability insurance. Please click here for joining instructions

Isle of Wight - Friday 12th May to Monday 15th May 2017

Leader: Jacqui Stiefel

Join the Chilterns 20-30s for an incredible weekend of camping and walking on the stunningly picturesque Isle of Wight! Situated just off the South Coast of England, the Island is the perfect holiday destination within a 2 hour drive from London via the Isle of Wight Ferry.

The weekend is completely flexible, if you want to join us camping for the whole weekend you're very welcome, however if you would prefer to stay in a B&B and meet us for the walks that is absolutely fine too. Also if you don't have the weekend to spare but would like to travel to the Island for the day, well you guessed it that's perfectly OK too!

For more information click here or send an email to Jacqui at chair@chilterns2030s.org.uk.
